Thirty One in a row...

Sword of Certain Victory +5

There once was a young man who had been forced into fighting in the great Colosseum. Being fairly young he was most certain that he would not last long. Especially since his master had it in for him on a personal level after he had won the heart of his daughter. His master was a cruel man indeed but the young man persevered winning 54 matches in a row much to his master's chagrin.

This angered his master incredibly so one day he came to him in his cell and told the young man, "Tomorrow you die! I shall pit you against my THREE greatest warriors! They shall cut you to ribbons! MWAHAHAA!!"

The young man was filled with despair and sat there crying in his cell. He knew there was no way he could win such a match. When suddenly there before him appeared an old man who was incredibly ugly. He handed the young man a short sword of about 22 inches.

The old man spoke to him softly through rank breath, "Use this sword tomorrow in battle and your victory shall be most certain." The man answered through sobs and tears, "But there are three and it's just me...how can I overcome such odds?"

"JUST USE THE SWORD BOY!!!"

Then as soon as he had appeared he was gone.

The next day upon entering the great Colosseum brandishing his new found sword the young man faced those fighters and put on a show like few had ever seen or shall ever see again so long as that Colosseum stands. With that sword in hand the man knew no fear! He was in fact completely calm and focused. He also found that he moved twice as fast as normal and using this to his advantage he sliced through his foes with the speed and grace of a cheetah ending the battle in a mere 24 seconds.

In the end he stood in that Colosseum a hero whilst his foes lay there bewildered - and disemboweled. No one knows what happened to that young man after that fateful day. Some say he ran off with his master's daughter but not before slicing his master in two. Some say he went on his own adventure slicing dragons to ribbons and collecting piles of gold.

All agree however that he is most certainly a legend.
